An outstanding, literate effort. With a nod to Isaac Asimov over the beginning (grin).
Very well written. I hope further chapters work on the emotions and thoughts of the new wife.
Later chapters have lots of small editor-catchable errors. "The door slide open." Nope, it "slid" open. Or you might say it "slides" open.
The story continues to be quite good. Keep up the good work! (9/10)
