Such a delight to encounter a story which doesn't have to fall back on some silly 'Sword & Sorcery' stuff to pretend to be interesting; but instead leans heavily on history and mythology (which often go hand in hand). Thanks to the research and/or vast knowledge of the author on both subjects --history and mythology, I mean-- " in combination with some true skill and resourcefull vocabulary, "A Beggar's Tale" emerges as a magisteral story of epic proportions. I am not a fan of male-sub stories, but in this case, such trivial feelings don't matter, because this is not about male/female domination; it's about adventure, history and culture. As such, "A Beggar's Tale" is unique on the BDSM Library, with maybe only "The Lost Prince--A Ponygirl Epic" by AlwaysCocked as close competition. I can only thank Night Owl for this fantastic contribution (and the server for croaking, else I might have missed the story). All hail to thee, Maestro. JJ (10/10)
