Another treat by Hurt Girl. "Isolated, Hurt And Full Of Despair" is an excellently written (start to a) story with a rather realistic take on the bully-versus-bullyfiable-person theme. If such a theme exists. Usually, in this kind of story, the persona arise from the situations the author created. Not so with Hurt Girl. Here, the situatiosn ensue thanks to the acting of the persona according to the characterisitics bestowed on them by their creator. The result is some fine writing in the form of disguised character studies. Which made me think of the Frank Zappa line "...and the meek shall inherit... nothing..." and made me think about if people are being bullied because there's bullies, or because those people attract folks who have a tendency to bully, but wouldn't do so if no-one to be bullied was 'provocing' them... But I digress. Hurt Girl, like I said before, managed to come up with a well written, interesting story. Again. Well done. JJ (9/10)
