Amateurish, at the most. Okay, so most writers here are 'amateurs', since they're not professionals.
Not saying PieterM can't write. Just saying "Population Control" holds no ground because of the way it is written and presented.
Too rushed; not enough detail; silly plot --even for a 'spoof'-- and a sense of realism that went to the Bahama's on holiday.
Might go there too, if things continue as they are.
