While I found "The Way" a well written, nice read, I still find there's too many things not right to start a happy-dance.
First and foremost because what happens here -and which happens a lot of the time-is that the author has a pre-conceived idea of where the "victim" is going to end-up, storywise.
As a result, a story often has a "victim" who isn't really a victim at all, but rather a pre-destined and soon to be raving masochist who's just waiting to be released by the author and as a consequence doesn't put up much of a fight, although she's been kidnapped and forced into sexual servitude.
The same goes for the concept of the "master" (hate that word). Kick a master in the nuts and he'll squeal like a falcetto pig; punch him in the nose and he'll probably bend over holding his face...
Women may be seen as the "weaker" half of our species, I know for fact that most of 'em are stronger than we males think and that they carry a punch if need be...
Anyway, a lot is of course the perogative of the author, so, let me move on and add that Zenoida has potential as a writer, one of which I'm looking forward to reading more from...

Hi jj, and thanks a lot for you review. I have to agree, that I do have ideas of where it is going to end, and yes, it does have unrealistic gender roles, most def. It's a fantasy, and in my fantasies, men are strong and able. yep, it's true that in real life you're a sorry bunch, but hey, that's why the gods invented fiction. And about the victim, you are definitly not unright either.. same disclaimer, but also this is a story about someone finding themselves, not about a victim and a predator.. that's not my kink. What I really like is the play between a sub and a Master (love that word :P ).. and the ways it can liberate or bring out new aspects of people. It's only one facet, but I don't think it's an unimportant one.
But maybe some more from the perspective of the master would help, and I do plan on adding that.
I'm sorry I didn't get the happy dance. Maybe the sequel will help. I've taken the review to heart, at least, and thank you again

Help! It lives! ...and it uses sarcasm too o_O *grin*
There's loads of goils who clench their thighs when the word "master" is pronounced in a certain context, so, I understand where that is coming from. Personally, I prefer my name or "sir".
I also feel that your response shows there's lots more to you than "The Way" would -momentarily- let surmise.
Was going to check-up on the story anyway, but now I most certainly will, as I will on future eggs I'm sure you'll pond, pardon the expression.
Oh, and I've cast the furniture aside, just in case a happy dance is among the possibilities *wink*
