Short stories probably most difficult
to be critiqued, because the author is
always leaving the reader wanting more,
and this author did an excellent job of
that! Nicely written, and a big thanks! (8/10)

I agree with both the Major and tedrange, because, hey!, the story is indeed short.
But there's much more here than meets the eye.
I found "Morning Call" to be an almost perfect essai where slavegirl1 succeeds in painting a clear picture in a short scene -which is no small feat all in itself and would be screwed-up by less capable writers.
Usually, I don't review such short epistels, but this one has enough quality to go for a fat niner. And upping the score to more or less compensate for the below par rating of my predecessors.
I think I should stroll over to "Brittany" and see what else slavegirl1 had up her sleeve. if it's anything as good as this here short, It'll be a damn fine story...
